Animal Health & Wellbeing Experts

We Are Now Accepting New Patients

  • If you are a new client, we would like to take this opportunity to welcome you to the Fairfield Veterinary Centre. There has been a veterinary practice on this site for almost 60 years.
  • The Fairfield Veterinary Centre specialises in companion animals and comprises of four veterinary surgeons, each with different areas of expertise. It is one of the only practices in Leicestershire, of its size, to achieve such a standard.
  • We employ five fully qualified veterinary nurses, an unusually high nurse:vet ratio. Consequently we will see difficult cases referred to us from other veterinary surgeons on a regular basis.
  • A European specialist in anaesthesia awarded the Fairfield Veterinary Centre the Gold Standard of its anaesthetic protocol using the most modern and safe techniques. As a result most patients are routinely blood tested prior to a general anaesthetic in order to establish any hidden underlying medical concerns.

Principal Veterinary Surgeon

Terry Dunne

Principal Veterinary Surgeon

TIn 1996 I completed the purchase of Fairfield and directed the practice towards small animals. Investment in instruments and diagnostic tools quickly followed.
Associate Veterinary Surgeon

Geraldine Young

Associate Veterinary Surgeon

I deal with the more challenging medical cases in the practice, and have a particular interest in gastroenterology, oncology and endocrinology. I am especially interested in feline medicine.
Associate Veterinary Surgeon

Aga Adamiec-Dygus

Associate Veterinary Surgeon

Helping my grandfather to look after animals on his farm during school holidays was my first real experience with animals and I think the 'veterinary seed' was planted then and is still growing strongly now.
Associate Veterinary Surgeon

Nora Janossy

Associate Veterinary Surgeon

I am mostly interested in internal medicine, but have not decided yet which field to study in depth. Being the owner of an elderly dog, geriatrics is close to my heart, I would also like to learn more about diagnostic imaging.
Practice Manager

Lisa

Practice Manager

I was offered the position of Practice Manager in 2012. I seemed to find it an easy transition as I already knew the running of the practice with working here as a nurse and I also had great support from my colleagues.
Head Veterinary Nurse

Erain

Head Veterinary Nurse

My job is theatre nurse and training student veterinary nurses, particular interests include nursing the feline patient.
Veterinary Nurse

Sharon

Veterinary Nurse

I knew that Veterinary Nursing was the career for me. So, in 2001 I qualified and became a listed Veterinary Nurse after years of hard training.
Veterinary Nurse

Sarah

Veterinary Nurse

I have gained valuable practical experience at Fairfield which has lead to me having a BSc (HONS) degree in Veterinary Nursing with Business Management and qualifying in 2012 as a Registered Veterinary Nurse.
Veterinary Nurse

Nicola

Veterinary Nurse

Being from a farming background I have grown up surrounded by animals my whole life. This started my passion for caring for animals and has carried on in to my adult life.

Zara

I have always shown a great interest and passion for animal welfare and as such have volunteered for a number of animal rescues.
Receptionist

Emma

Receptionist

It has always been a great ambition of mine to pursue a career working with animals in some capacity, so the position I work in at Fairfield allows me to utilise the knowledge I gained at college.
