"Bobby" - Miniature Poodle with Testicular Cancer

Bobby

When "Bobby" went for his routine "short back and sides!" he got more for his money from the groomer than he bargained for! Whilst attending to his usual bouffant hairstyle "Tina" his regular beautician made her routine inspection of his testicles! Alert to the possibility of testicular cancer "Tina" made her findings known to "Bobby's" owners who had previously been totally unaware of any clinical problem.

What "Tina" had noticed was a marked discrepancy in size between one testicle and the other. This is often the earliest indication of cancer long before any specific lumps are appreciable. As a result of her dilligence we were able at Fairfield to remove the cancer hopefully long before any signifcant problems were encountered.

Regular examination through grooming is an excellent way to ensure that any changes in coat condition or any new lumps or bumps are identified at the earliest possible stage. This gives the surgeon the best chance of success when dealing with cancer or any other clinical problem.

I am about due a haircut myself
.......................now where is "Tina's" number?
