Geraldine qualified from the University of Bristol in 1995. Had it been one year later she might well have been gracing our television screens in "Vets in Practice".

She graduated with honours and as top of her year was awarded numerous prizes. They included the Frederick Blakemore memorial prize (for the student obtaining the highest marks in the degree examinations of the BVSc course) and the Martyn Thomas memorial prize (for the student adjudged the most distinguished in Veterinary Medicine).

Geraldine joined Fairfield in September 1995 having seen work experience here as a schoolgirl. In 1999 she gained her advanced qualification-- the Certificate in Small Animal Medicine.......just 2 months after giving birth to her son, Jamie!

Geraldine now deals with the more challenging medical cases in the practice, and has a particular interest in gastroenterology (bowel disorders), oncology (cancer and cancer treatment) and endocrinology (hormonal disorders). She is especially interested in feline medicine

Outside of work, her interests include horse riding, fitness, gardening and food and wine. These days, however, much of her time is taken up with family commitments, with nine year old and one year old sons to keep her busy!

Geraldine owns two Siamese cats (Bert and Ernie) and one moggy - Indiana - who she hand reared from 1 week of age after he and his two sisters were abandoned. After sadly losing her Labrador "Jos" (above) to cancer in March 2008, Geraldine has a new Labrador puppy - "Sonic", who her eldest son is hoping to do some fun agility training with.
